Context

People often say, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” This is true in many cases. I recall seeing many screaming and crying fits being had by my more “popular” high-school acquaintances when an inevitable break-up occurred. Some people never get past high-school histrionics, but that’s another topic for another day.

The way the quote is used, contextually, places the emotional over-reaction solely on the woman. This is because the quote is rarely stated in full.

Here is the full quote:

When put into full context, the quote becomes equal. Men who have been scorned by the object of their affection are just as likely as women to rant endlessly over “the one that got away.”

The “love” that they felt towards their purchased trophy becomes mindless rage when said trophy is placed on the shelf of another, and this goes both ways.

The difference isn’t based on male vs. female, though. The response is solely based on the emotional maturity of the individual.

The adult gets over it and moves forward. The child throws a mindless tantrum.

That’s how one separates the men from the boys and the women from the girls. Wise and thoughtful introspection vs. childish overreactions.

Some people never grow up. Such ridiculous retards. They’re stuck in the past and can’t change with the times.

They’re the ones who ask stupid questions such as: “Hey Steve Perry, when are you reuniting with Journey?” when he’s made it clear that he is doing his own thing.

They can’t move forward in life and seem to assume that everyone else has the same issue.

Bizarre.

Midweek Music

3 Thursday Songs

Here are three songs on this Thursday afternoon. Music always puts me in a creative mood.

Progress & Updates

The weather has been great over the past couple of weeks, which has enabled us to tackle some of the yardwork and landscaping projects around the house.

New neighbors require a better privacy screen, so the riot of bamboo in the back yard is now lining the fence between our property and theirs. It looks perfect, and I love taking my first morning cup of coffee outside to stand and listen to the leaves rustling in the breeze. A fresh load of compost was delivered and spread yesterday, which should keep the bamboo happy and thriving.

The birds have been active with nest-building and the lawn-scraps make perfect material for them to use. The deer have been running about as well. The young stags are already trying to assert their dominance and territories, even with the velvet still covering their growing antlers.

I’m still gaming and have finally gotten all programs functioning properly. I can now broadcast gaming sessions on Twitch or Facebook, and will soon have new recorded sessions up on my YouTube account. I updated my gaming links as well; go to the ‘Multimedia Links’ page here on my blog to get the new addresses.

Working out and writing round out my daily activities. I have more than enough to make a real publisher happy. I just have to find the right one. Slow progress, but forward-moving all the same. No complaints here.

Creeping Up on the New Year…

’tis just around the corner!

😎

Eyrie Of An Aries

New Year’s Eve is a couple of days away, so I’m getting a proper post ready for it – out with the old, in with the new! Although, I fear that 2017 will be more of the same as we had in 2016…but far worse for many of us here in the USA. It is what it is, though! Poop doth occur – over, and over, and over again!

Here are three good songs for this Thursday. It’s time for my workout! Afterwards, I’m going to make a nice pot of chicken soup – after showering, of course – then it will be time for a bit of gaming, which will be live-streamed if no glitches happen. Otherwise, I’ll try to capture some footage and share it via screen-shots or YouTube…whichever one I can get to work correctly, LOL! Talk at you all later…

Tuesday Tuneage…27 December 2016!

It’s a lovely, lazy Tuesday! Relaxing and gaming; made up a nice big pot of seafood chowder, and staying warm while it’s rainy and blustery outside. I think that it’s time for some music – enjoy these selected songs! Later, ‘gators…

Tuesday Tidbits…13 December 2016

It’s a particularly awesome day, today! It’s a special one – why, you may ask? Because it is, that’s why! That should be good enough, I’d wager. I’ll give a little hint, though: it’s a day celebrated annually by some, and involves the giving of gifts and toasting good fortune, and the gift that I have is one that I’ve needed and wanted for some time! Anything that keeps me in fighting trim is necessary, and the garbage advertised on television leaves much to be desired – I’ve yet to see my machine advertised anywhere, personally; and it is a brand that has been around for 20 years or more. Yes, I’m now the proud owner of a circuit-training home gym and couldn’t be happier! Free-weights, kettle-bells, and ellipticals are fine and dandy, but my ideal workout has always included a “universal” machine – and, best of all, I don’t have to go to a stinky, sweaty, germ-filled “fitness center!” How anyone can stand those places is beyond me…seriously, every single time I tried to have a membership in any sort of health club, I would get sick within a week no matter how much I cleaned the machines before and after I used them. I didn’t pay to get sick, I paid to work-out, but muscle-heads and cheese-cakes were too busy primping and posing on the machines instead of using them, so they were a waste of my time and money, LOL! Exercising in the peace, quiet, and comfort of my own home is best for me.

It’s cold out there, but I don’t mind because I was able to see the beautiful moon last night, and should be able to see it again tonight when it reaches complete fullness. Clear skies means colder weather, but the sunshine is very refreshing after what seems like a straight month and a half of clouds, rain, hail, snow, and nearly every other type of precipitation you can imagine, except for sleet! Gotta bundle up before walking on the beach…

Time for some music, and I have to do some cooking! Beef stew for lunch, game hens for dinner…the only thing that sucks about cooking is the cleaning and prepping, but it’s still worth it. Talk to ya later, gators!
