One Song on Sunday

My week-long birthday celebration draws to a close. Here is a song by Pink Floyd to ring in my introduction to the world.

It is a fitting one.

Sepultura’s Saturday Screen-Shots: Steampunk City! (Re-blogged)

Eyrie Of An Aries

Here’s a small selection of some of my most recent in-game screen-shots, as promised! In these images I’m exploring the new, steampunk-styled land of The Elder Scrolls Online, the awesome game that I enjoy playing. I’ll be live-streaming some gameplay later on this evening, so tune in to my Twitch channel if you’re awake, grab a drink and a snack, and watch the fun!

Sampling a freshly-made batch of the old crone’s brew.

Flame-inspired meditation in the forest…very relaxing.

A new tree has sprung up in the garden of the grand manor…

It is certainly an interesting addition!

The entrance to the city of cogs and gears.

What the…? I’m shrinking!

Facing off against an army of automatons…

There – that should take care of them!

The new scenery is fascinating, and quite pleasing to the eye.

New quests and adventures await the intrepid explorer!

Five on Friday: Songs by the Scorpions

The song “Loving You Sunday Morning” was running through my head when I woke up today, so I was inspired to offer up these five songs by the Scorpions. Enjoy.

Matinee & Dinner

Went and saw an afternoon showing of a movie yesterday, then went out for pizza. The movie was excellent and the pizza was great.

There are so few films worth seeing that I tend to only see one in theatres per year. I don’t foresee any others being worthwhile.

I got my annual viewing in.

Midweek Music; Week-Long Celebration

The birthday celebration continues! The tour of the Bridgeport Brew Pub was a lot of fun. It was great to know that a business I support is well-worth supporting, and not just because they craft some of the best ales around. Sustainability, along with “reduce, re-use, recycle,” is a daily operation in the company and I got to see it first-hand.

The food was excellent, as were the accompanying drinks. The “Bridge Sampler” is highly recommended by yours truly.

Heading out to see a movie today. Take a guess at which one I’m going to see.

Enjoy the pictures and the music.

Busy Week Ahead

My calendar shows a busy, eventful week ahead.

Game-wise, the latest DLC of The Elder Scrolls Online drops on Monday. Dragon Bones hearkens back to The Elder Scrolls Online V: Skyrim in the same way two other chapters paid homage to TESO III: Morrowind. The history and lore maintains accuracy and cohesion, thanks to the dedication of their lore-masters.

Tuesday is Mardi Gras – “Fat Tuesday.”

Maha Shivaratri will also be celebrated.

Wednesday is Valentine’s Day and Ash Wednesday. Is that ironic or what?

Thursday marks the only New Moon in February 2018; there is no full moon in February 2018. Another rarity is January and March both having a “Blue Moon” in the same year. Neil DeGrasse Tyson might know when this phenomenon will occur next!

😎

Last, but certainly not least, Friday marks the Lunar New Year. Officially it is Chinese New Year 4715, a Yin year of the Earth Dog.

In light of these festivities, I decided to set off a Cherry Bomb to start the week off with a bang.

More explosive demonstrations are forthcoming. More music will follow as well.

Ready to party? Let’s go.

Final Birthday Friday Festivities!

It isn’t the final Friday of March; that falls next week – but, today IS the final Friday celebration of my week-long birthday celebration! It’s been loads of fun: phone calls and cards from family, breakfast in bed, and a surprise sushi platter rounded things up. All food was washed down with plenty of potables, both potent and non! All in all, it has been fantastic…life is good!

Here are my five musical selections for this Friday, along with some selected gaming screen-shots of fun and frivolity. My “Five for Friday” fun facts will return next week, but I’ll give you one, here: every song that I post here on my humble blog are ones that I know by heart, and sing loudly and proudly. The key to great singing isn’t something that can be taught, at that’s all I can say. Either you feel it, or you don’t!

XD

Happy Friday, everyone…enjoy your respective weekends, whenever and wherever you are!
