Saturday Music

The gaming and live-streaming continues over the weekend as the weather turns wet and cool. Here are three instrumental songs for this relaxing Saturday afternoon.

5 on Friday: Character Class Themes (Re-blogged)

There’s an in-game event which will keep me busy all weekend. I will be live-streaming some of the action today through Monday, so grab some snacks and head over to my Twitch channel.

😎

Eyrie Of An Aries

When I had an in-game guild site up I’d done a little musical tribute to the four character classes in The Elder Scrolls Online: Templars, Nightblades, Sorcerers, and Dragonknights. With the addition of the Warden class, introduced with the Morrowind / Vvardenfell chapter, I decided to update this post for my scheduled “Five on Friday.”

Another new class might be introduced soon, as many have been screaming for it and discussing it in forums. I think a necromancer class is fitting and goes along with the Elder Scrolls storyline and the accompanying lore. Unfortunately, the devs seem more inclined to listen to their favourites and their followers and those people aren’t really playing the game. It has been obvious of late, with all of the glitches and scheduling issues ZoS has been wrestling with since the beginning of the year. “Never mix business with pleasure.” That is a rule…

Friday Fun & Music

The game-streams are going well and much fun is being had by all. Here are three songs about “she,” and “she” is me. My friends know what I’m talking about.

😎

Three On Thursday

In honour of the birthday of Roger Waters, co-founder of the epic rock group Pink Floyd, I offer up five excellent songs for this Thursday.

Twitch drops are officially enabled on my channel so feel free to check it out anytime day or night. I’ll be on when I can be, for as long as possible!

Enjoy the ride.

Streaming Schedule: Update

I’ve finally gotten a reasonable streaming schedule settled for my Twitch channel and will update it monthly. Loyal viewers who tune in will get a chance to earn special rewards, especially if they are fellow ESO players.

* The Imperial City in-game event begins on Thursday, 6 September at 0700 PDT and ends on Monday, 10 September at 2000 PDT. Watching my channel for 10 minutes or more will earn you one in-game reward per day.

You can find the link in the ‘Multimedia Links’ page here on my blog. I hope that you check out my channel and enjoy the rewards you earn!

Motels Monday

Remember the band the Motels? They were big in the 80s.

These three songs got a lot of airplay on the radio and MTV and they’re always good to listen to.

I love the music that my mind shuffles through when I sleep.

It has nothing to do with what is going on in my life. They are good songs, period.

Sunday Funnies

My Twitch channel is slowly growing and gaining recognition, so I think that I’ll have to set up a regular schedule soon!

I just participated in some streaming fun which helped raise money for St. Jude, and we all went above and beyond the targeted donation cap. Well done, everyone!

Shameless Self-Promotion

After a few months of testing I’ve finally gotten the hang of the live-stream thing, so gaming podcasts will commence mid-September. That’s when most of the children will be back in school so the quality of gaming action will improve in all facets.

I have my Twitch channel operating; it is linked to my YouTube and Facebook gaming pages and I’m working on getting rewards enabled for dedicated followers and subscribers.

Loyalty rewards are always nice, so I figure I’d give some incentive for those who really want to participate in helping a channel grow! Real support should always be recognized, yes?

PAX West 2016

Holy shit on toast, Batman…I survived my first convention! Damn, was it crowded – but it was hellaciously fun. Meeting the Bethesda ESO team was a kick in the pants! I got some free game codes to hand out to my niece and nephews; there were some awesome costumes and displays to take pictures of, and I got a few nice T-shirts. One was free and two were not, but the free stuff wasn’t bad at all!

All four days went by very quickly, which means that I had a great time. Time flies when you’re having fun, after all! The crowds bothered me far less than I thought that they would, and I was happy to see hand sanitizer stations everywhere: outside of the restrooms, near the elevators and escalators, and right outside of the “Arena” – the place in the convention center where consoles and PCs were set up for anyone and everyone to jump on and play whichever game they wanted to.

There were four consoles and four PCs set up in the Bethesda room, all loaded up with the ESO North American (NA) client and the Public Test Server (PTS). The newest update at that time (12), which introduced One Tamriel and the dueling system, was a ton of fun to test out while they streamed LIVE ON TWITCH for all four days! I got completely rekt by one of the gaming designers on the live-stream, and my smiling face can also be seen by those who know and love me. It was all too awesome!

Time for me to test out a few new in-game settings and recording settings! My new webcam also arrived and I plan on hooking it up to see how it performs, but only after I get the pictures downloaded from my phone for future posts. I took quite a few so I hope that they turn out!

It’s Friday and I’m in a fantastic mood, so enjoy this bit of random silliness to get your weekend started off right.
