Scenic Sunday Screen-Shots…

I’m having a nice, relaxing weekend and decided to post some recent screen-shots taken in-game. My next excerpt has to be broken up into two parts, and the screen-shots help illustrate the “lay of the land,” so to speak – so, I was sorting through a batch and decided to post them.

The screen-shots are the way that I keep the locations fresh in my mind as my characters travel about during their adventures. It’s not a cardboard cut-out or other tangible, physical rendition of a locale as other authors create, but it works for me!

I think that I’ll do a bit of live-broadcasting today, as well – most likely after noon PDT. It’s been a while, and I need to do a bit of ye olde AvA now that the campaigns have restarted. Gotta stay sharp against the no-sleeping, diaper-wearing, basement-dwelling “no-lifers!” Other genuine gamers know what I’m talking about, ROFLMAO!

Who’s this bloke, then?

Hmmm…an interesting bit of information!

Standing at a transitus shrine

Relaxing in the courtyard

A bit of primping and preening

Should I wear this? It looks nice…

…the robe is more appropriate, though – it might rain!

A tender moment…

…followed by a soft serenade.

A toast by the well – cheers!

Funny Sunday Memes: 5 March 2017!

I was inspired to do this post due to some recent conversations with others, both online and IRL. It amuses me when a person says something sarcastic to me, so I respond in kind – and their response is, “Why are you so offended?” I would ask this: Why do you assume that I’m offended when I treat you in the same way that you chose to treat me? If you say something sarcastic, then expect a sarcastic response – right? If you come at me foaming-at-the-mouth mad over nothing, then expect a big “FUCK YOU” in response. That isn’t being offended, that is me ridding myself of your psychotic presence as quickly and efficiently as I know how. If you’re trying to offend me with sarcasm for some reason, then that’s on you. Incidentally, it takes a hell of a lot more than a snarky / barbed / insulting comment to offend me…just sayin’.

On that note, enjoy these funny memes – I have an excellent Monday post in mind, now!

Sunday Scenery…And a Bit o’ Silliness!

This was worth a re-post, with a bit of edu-ma-cation tossed into the mix. Also, be sure to check out my Twitch channel for live-streamed broadcasts of my gaming sessions…enjoy!

Random Ramblings; Myriad Musings

I was doing some tests with my new computer, seeing how well it handles my hard-core gaming needs, and I finally got it to crash! No, I didn’t kill it, but I have gotten it to completely freeze up where it required a “forced hard reboot,” which sounds worse than it actually is. I’m so hard on equipment…I demand far more of things that I own than people – but, I also have high expectations of myself, and expect things that I purchase to function to their maximum capability…and beyond!

I was successful with recording a gaming session, but only once – I didn’t download the clip because there wasn’t anything worth saving in it, LOL – but broadcasting a live gaming session caused a “freezing-crash,” multiple times, after about one minute. Either my video settings are too high, or I haven’t located where to adjust them – or, its…

Chicken Soup Sunday

I love cooking – it’s a relaxing, enjoyable activity, and consuming a delicious kitchen creation can’t be beat. Some dishes that I especially enjoy making are soups, stews, and chowders, using a variety of meats, vegetables, and spices. I experiment with different flavours once in a while, or substitute one ingredient for another if I’m short on something. It doesn’t take a whole lot to make a great soup, with or without meat proteins!

Today, I decided to cook up a nice, big pot of chicken soup. I always use fresh herbs and ingredients, and wanted to list a few of my favourite veggies that I toss into it. Onions, shallots, garlic, and carrots are always used; they make up the base for my stews as well. In chicken soup specifically, I am likely to use these other garden items:

Kale (purple variety)

Bok Choy

Swiss Chard (rainbow variety)

Corn (fresh when in-season)

Parsnip

I used to put noodles in, because chicken-noodle soup was always a staple when I was growing up. After moving to Seattle and getting access to fresh vegetables and herbs, courtesy of the famous Pike Place Market, I began experimenting with the old recipe and tweaked it to where it suited my taste. I make it with chicken or tofu; either way, I think that it’s delicious. I also feel that it gives a healthy boost to my immune system, which is a bonus: good, healthy food, made with fresh ingredients, is one of the primary foundations of living a healthy lifestyle…and, it works!

The Versatile Blogger Award – 31 October 2016 Edition!

The Versatile Blogger Award: ***Halloween Special***

I was nominated for this award by The Shamrock Show Mage, co-author over at The Well-Red Mage’s blog, on 31 October 2016. It was a very pleasant Samhain surprise! I’m honoured and humbled by this nomination, and extend my thanks. If you haven’t done so, please check out their very awesome blog! It is one that has been added to my list of ‘dailies,’ which are the blogs I follow that I read on a daily basis.

First, the rules…

Rules:

1. Display Award.
2. Thank the person who gave this award, and include a link to their blog.
3. Share seven things about yourself.
4. Nominate ten bloggers.

Seven things about me:

1. I’m a coffee fiend and drink 4 – 5 cups per day, but never after 3 p.m. I prefer buying whole-bean coffee and grinding it at home, and have a nice storage container for keeping the grounds fresh. I even use one of those ‘gold’ filters – paper filters absorb the oils of the coffee, diluting the flavor. No, I don’t consider myself a ‘coffee snob,’ LOL

2. I’m participating in the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) challenge for the first time – but I’ve been blogging for a decade.

3. I haven’t attended a Hallowe’en party for over 10 years.

4. I don’t dress up for Hallowe’en every year, but when I do, I pull out all of the stops…and I never wear the same costume twice.

5. My favourite Hallowe’en candies are: Kit-Kat Bars, Twix bars, Whoppers, Gobstoppers, Lemon-heads, Atomic Fireballs, Swedish fish, and Twizzlers.

6. I’ve never TP’ed a house, but I have covered cars in shaving-cream and silly-string. I’ve thrown eggs at people, but only after they threw them at me!

7. I don’t decorate my house for the holidays – I have my own means of celebrating things.

(I mixed in some Hallowe’en-related stuff in there, just because!)

My 10 nominees:

1. Jacqueline at A Cooking Pot and Twisted Tales
2. Tony Single at Crumble Cult
3. Brian Lageose at Bonnywood Manor
4. Sheldon Kleeman – Art Works
5. Kat Myrman at Like Mercury Colliding
6. Paul at Windblown Words
7. T. Ibara Photo
8. Tofino Photography
9. Cindy Knoke
10. ALK3R

(I’m aware that many blogs I follow are ‘award-free,’ so they are under no obligation to acknowledge this award or participate – I simply wanted to pay my respects to those blogs and their authors!)

Short Sunday Post!

Well, we survived the weekend storms! The blast that was supposed to hit us yesterday moved a bit northward, so the greater Seattle area was affected more than we were. No loss of power here (yet – still keeping fingers crossed, LOL), but the lights did flicker intermittently throughout the day. The trees were whipping about in the sideways rain, and there was another small bout of thunder and lightning after midnight. Otherwise, it appears that the worst of the winds have passed. I’ll head down to the beach later today and see if I can get some decent pictures of the surf – I love the way the ocean looks and sounds after stormy weather.

Believe it or not, the full moon was actually visible for a brief moment last night, as well! It was lovely…clouds scudding past gave it a mysterious, magical appearance – very nice.

Time to catch up on reading the blogs I follow…and, I have to bookmark various sites on this backup computer! I have no idea when I’ll be able to get my main rig up and running again – I’m pretty much accepting the fact that the only computer that will function properly is one that I build myself, with my favored components and to my specifications. Wasting money on so-called “experts” who really can’t tell their rectal orifices from a hole in the ground is an exercise in futility – and I hate wasting time and money! Aries people don’t surrender…we just stop wasting our time on people and things that are, essentially, worthless.

Here’s a bit of music to enjoy while I relax with my coffee and read. Also, I plan on doing some live-streaming tests later on today; most likely after 1300 PDT. Yes, it is still Daylight Savings Time…we don’t “fall back” until the first Sunday in November. I’m sure that we will be happy for that “extra” hour after Election Day, LOL!

I will resume my regular re-blogging tomorrow – today is all about me! I’m still prepping for NaNoWriMo, too…I’ve been properly prioritizing.
