Monday Music: March Came In Like A…

So, the old saying goes that “March roars in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb.” I suppose that’s true for much of the country, but here in my particular part of the Pacific Northwest, it came in like a lamb. That being said, the weekend weather was interesting, to say the least! A bit of thunder and lightning rolled through on Saturday, combined with flurries of hail, a bit of rain, and then some snow. It was snowing about a half-hour ago, and the forecast indicates that snow is possible through the end of the week. Old Man Winter is clinging on for dear life with his deathly-cold grip – but, winter’s end is nigh! The Vernal Equinox approaches, as does Ostara. In celebratory anticipation of the oncoming change of the seasons, here’s a bit of music for this Monday. I made my selections as random as the current weather patterns are…can you tell? Later, ‘gators!

I’ve noticed this localized geographic phenomenon before. Notice the mist & where it lays.I’ve seen the same phenomenon occur in the same spot many times. The mist is over a very large area.

Warm air is coming off of the ocean full of moisture. This warm moist air meets the cold mountains, the air chills, dew point is reached & fog happens. The contour of the mountain must focus the air mass. I’d like to see some time lapse.I bet it would move like water.

btw…..thats Ethel singing a song.

This is Ernie perching upon a tree on Strawberry island. Those mountains are in Strathcona park,22 miles north.

Ethel joins him in the third shot.Ernie was singing a welcoming song for her from above.

I love this kind of light! As you know light is composed of many different colours. This  is the last colour you’ll see at the end of a sunset. However not every sunset will display it.This colour only lasts a very short period of time & also has low contrast making it the most delicate of colours! I search for this colour all the time! I cannot get enough of it because I really do not see it very often & remember that when it does happen, you have to be in the right spot with your equipment handy! No time to run around looking for a great background to take advantage of it……..It only lasts a few…

Friday Fun & Foolishness!!!

Well, whaddya know…we actually got some snow! It started coming down yesterday morning at around 11:30 PST, changing back to rain near midnight. I enjoyed it while it was around – I even went out and built a little snowman on the top of my car, LOL

Since it’s Friday and I’m in a good mood, I figured I’d treat you to some silly comedy, funny memes, and a bit of music…enjoy while I get back to doing some gaming!
