Full Frontal Thursday: Midterm Results

The midterm elections are finally over. How did they go? What were the results? Sam has it all, right here.

Last Week Tonight: Family Separation

In today’s installment of “Last Week Tonight,” John talks about the unnecessary and racist policy of family separation, which has caused hundreds of children needless and long-lasting trauma.

Fear-mongering and racism have been the hallmark of this administration since the thing descended the escalator and announced that it was running for president. All of that has exploded now that it resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Full Frontal Thursday: Racism & Anti-Semitism

In today’s edition of “Full Frontal Thursday,” Sam finally shines the spotlight on the racism and hatred that has exploded exponentially over the past few months, now that Jews have been openly targeted.

Black people have been the target for ages and I’ve talked about the dog-whistles and coded language used by the fascists and nationalists in the past. It isn’t new.

Full Frontal Thursday: Counting Down to the Midterms

In today’s edition of “Full Frontal Thursday,” Sam shines the spotlight on the group that she feels is being targeted the most by hate. I disagree, but it’s her platform, eh?

Counting down to the midterm elections. Our ballots are in the mail.

Full Frontal: 17 October Edition

I completely missed Full Frontal with Samantha Bee last week, due to the baseball playoffs and hectic schedules of all sorts. Here it is. The regularly scheduled installment will post at its usual time tomorrow.

Full Frontal Thursday: New Set, Minority Rule, and Gamifying the Midterms

In today’s long-awaited installment of “Full Frontal Thursday,” Sam is back with a new set and an app that will reward people for voting.

She also addresses the overt racism of gerrymandering, the oldest trick in the handbook of voter disenfranchisement.

Full Frontal Thursday: Sanctioned Child Abuse & The Cult of Impeachment

In today’s installment of “Full Frontal Thursday,” Sam talks about Drumpf’s sickening practice of tearing children away from their mothers at the southern border. It’s interesting that she believes the lie that it started under Obama, but white women always want to blame a black guy or gal for something.

Also, Mike Rubens attends a meeting of the “Cult of Impeachment” which is headed up by Tom Steyer. Impeachment does sound nice, but it helps to think about what the entire process entails. Drumpf is horrible, yes. Pence just might be worse. That could be why many politicians on either side aren’t wanting to jump on that particular bandwagon.

Loving Day

Today is Loving Day…it’s a great thing. From Wikipedia:

“Loving Day is an annual celebration held on June 12, the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia which struck down all anti-miscegenation laws remaining in sixteen U.S. states citing “There can be no doubt that restricting the freedom to marry solely because of racial classifications violates the central meaning of the equal protection clause.”[1][2][3] In the United States, anti-miscegenation laws were U.S. state laws banning interracial marriage, mainly forbidding marriage between non-whites and whites…The “Loving” side of the U.S. Supreme Court case consisted of Mildred and Richard Loving, a black woman and a white man. They first met when she was 11 and he was 17. He was a family friend and over the years they started courting. After she became pregnant, they got married in Washington, D.C., in 1958, when she was 18.[7] Reportedly, Mildred didn’t realize that interracial marriage was illegal, and they were arrested a few weeks after they returned to their hometown north of Richmond, Virginia. They pleaded guilty to charges of “cohabiting as man and wife, against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth,” and avoided jail time by agreeing to leave Virginia. They moved to Washington, D.C., and began legal action by writing to U.S. Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy. Kennedy referred the case to the American Civil Liberties Union. After the Warren Court unanimously ruled in favor of the young couple, they returned to Virginia, where they lived with their three children. Mildred Loving died May 5, 2008 at the age of 68. Richard Loving had died about thirty-three years earlier in a car accident. Each June 12, the anniversary of the ruling, Loving Day events around the country mark the advances of mixed-race couples.”

I still get irked about the use of the term “race” and “mixed-race.” Yes, they are terms in the human lexicon that won’t go away. Because of this, many don’t want to accept or admit or acknowledge this simple fact: human beings are an entire race. Horse races, dog races, go-kart races, track-and-field races, etc. – those are “multi-racial” things! Any one of us who enjoy shows and movies such as Star Wars, Star Trek, or Doctor Who, for example, just might be a bit less inclined to think of another human being as a completely different “race.” I know that I’m hoping for too much in that regard.

Even in this day and age, there are people who go into paroxysms of rage if they even see people of different skin colours talking with each other. Their craniums implode if they see people of different skin colours, faiths, or nationalities holding hands. How ironic that those types accuse me of being “racially charged.” It’s laughably stupid. Just as they are.

I’m guessing that they are people who might have nobody special in their lives, because nobody sane would want to be around them for any length of time. Note the qualifier in that sentence, pea-brain.

If you are like me and have a special someone along with family and friends, enjoy this day and share the love. Here are three songs about the best things that love has to offer.

Full Frontal Thursday: the Iran Deal, Checking In With #MeToo, & Return To the Rescue Farm

In this installment of “Full Frontal Thursday,” Sam gives a skewering to Eric Schneiderman. He’s the AG who was a champion of women’s rights, but turned out to be a total douchenozzle. He’s not dissimilar to whites who pretend to be aware of racism and racist discrimination, but end up being cross-burning, goose-stepping sheet-wearers in belief and ideology.

Next, she talks about how Baby-Hands McDrumpf just shredded the Iran Deal out of spite and to distract from the whole Russia investigation, the fact that America is currently in six wars and has no intention of getting us out of them, and the whole Stormy Daniels thing. There is a country in the Middle East that worries me far more than Iraq or Iran. It also begins with the letter ‘I’ and is led by one Bibi Netanyahu.

Finally, she returns to the rescue farm for abandoned government workers to find out what Scott Pruitt is doing for the EPA. It isn’t pretty.

She also gives a final “fuck off” to Eric Schneiderman. At least she is able to call out bullshitters and be believed. Not everyone is that fortunate. Most just want to coddle and enable them. They take the easy way out.

As a bonus, I added a Late Show with Stephen Colbert clip. It was perfect.

Last Week Tonight: Rudy Giuliani

In this edition of “Last Week Tonight,” John Oliver shows the clueless people that Rudy Giuliani’s unhinged behavior has been evident since before 11 September of 2001. Rudy the ghoul used the rotting corpse of “9/11” to maintain popularity and relevance. Reminds me of the needy, desperate attention-whores on Face-Twit-o-Gram and in the blog-o-sphere!

I love the way John has bought various domain names. Others do similar things for more sinister means.

They make navigating the internet an interesting experience. One has to look out for spam sites along with spam email notifications.
