Some Fine Friday Music: 6 January 2017!

Ah, it’s Friday…and quite cold out this morning! The hummingbird feeder that I put out for the little guys has frozen over two nights in a row, so I’ve had to bring it inside and let it thaw, both yesterday morning and today. The weather will be warming again soon, bringing back the clouds and rain. Cloud-cover and liquid precipitation are very much welcomed here, in the winter-time! It’s also a bit warmer here on the coast than it is in Seattle or Portland, OR, relatively speaking. No burst water-pipes, which is good.

I’ve been noodling around on the ESO Public Test Server (PTS), taking a little sneak-peek at the player housing that will be launched sometime next month. I will say that the other online game that I used to play, Ultima Online, had a much better housing system than the one ESO is rolling out! What’s the use of having a house for your characters if you can’t store anything in it? I suppose the good thing is, it provides a more private place for guild meetings, events and role-playing story-arcs…so I can’t complain about it too much. As if it would do any good, LOL! I’m not one who does the Q.Q or T.T in forums – I’m too busy writing, working out, or actually playing a game to piss and moan about things that I may not like about them. In fact, I don’t see the point in complaining about a game, TV show, or other forms of entertainment – if I don’t like it, I don’t play it or watch it! There are far more important things in life, IMHO.

With that out of the way, it’s time for a bit of music! Unfortunately, the lyrics aren’t in the video, even though the person who posted it on YouTube says that they are…so, that isn’t my fault or my problem. Complain to YouTube, LOL

Happy Friday, all…talk at ya later!

Musical Monday…18 July 2016!

I’m relaxing after a nice, busy weekend of gardening, house-cleaning, cooking, and beach-combing, and I’m catching up on reading some of my favourite blogs. It looks as if I have another award to address; in the meantime, enjoy these three songs for my musical Monday! Bonus points to those of you who REALLY know what the first song is about, ROFL

EDITORIAL: Serena Williams Wins 7th Wimbledon Title, 22nd Grand Slam and Makes Us All Feel Like Champions

I don’t know about anyone else, but I really needed this today.  I specifically set my alarm this morning to wake me at 6AM (PST) to watch Serena Williams compete for her seventh – yes, take that in – seventh Wimbledon title, and to tie Steffi Graf for the most Grand Slams won in the Open Era.

I’ll admit, regardless of the week of continued brutality and violence by police against black citizens and the gut-wrenching retaliation in Dallas because of such violence, as a lifelong fan, I most likely would have been up and watching Serena anyway.  But because of its timing, this victory – this continued rising…
