Creeping Up on the New Year…

’tis just around the corner!

Eyrie Of An Aries

New Year’s Eve is a couple of days away, so I’m getting a proper post ready for it – out with the old, in with the new! Although, I fear that 2017 will be more of the same as we had in 2016…but far worse for many of us here in the USA. It is what it is, though! Poop doth occur – over, and over, and over again!

Here are three good songs for this Thursday. It’s time for my workout! Afterwards, I’m going to make a nice pot of chicken soup – after showering, of course – then it will be time for a bit of gaming, which will be live-streamed if no glitches happen. Otherwise, I’ll try to capture some footage and share it via screen-shots or YouTube…whichever one I can get to work correctly, LOL! Talk at you all later…

The Black Cat, Blue Sea Award!!!

I’d never heard of this award before – it’s fresh and brand-new, for me! I don’t even own a cat; but, I do live on the Washington coast, five minutes away (by bicycle) from the mighty Pacific Ocean.

1. Anybody nominated can nominate eight other bloggers – but, you can’t nominate the person who nominated you!
2. The nominee answers three questions posed by the nominator.
3. The questions you ask in the nomination can be any three questions, about anything that you choose.*
4. If any of the questions asked are perceived to be offensive to the nominee; or the nominee simply does not want to answer, the nominee isn’t required to answer them.*

Questions posed to me, and my answers:
1. Which is worse, living the rest of your life poor or alone?
I would say that living poor is far worse than living alone. Also, ‘poor’ to me means more than material possessions or great wealth – a person can have a poor spirit; a poor outlook on life, or treat others quite poorly, from what I’ve seen – and, being alone doesn’t mean being lonely.

2. Do you think giving to charity makes someone a good person?
No. Giving, again, entails more than making a financial donation. One must give of themselves. Time. Energy. Real, physical efforts to enact real change in the lives of others. Those are far more valuable than giving money to some agency that merely spends said money on guilt-inducing advertisements.

3. What makes you think the world still has good in it?
Plenty of things! The five images below should answer this question succinctly:

*Caveat: many blogs that I follow are “award-free,” so they are under no obligation to acknowledge or accept this award. In light of this, I have chosen not to list the questions I’d ask of them…I prefer to speak with, and query the bloggers whom I follow, directly!
