Saturday Screen-Shots: In-Game Fashions (Re-blogged)

Enjoy this re-blog of mine from January, which features some of the in-game fashions and costumes added to The Elder Scrolls Online since it launched in April of 2014.

A few more unique costumes have been acquired since this post was first published, so I will have some brand-new gear to show off before the year is over!

😎

Random Ramblings; Myriad Musings

I took a few screen-shots of some of the various costumes that have been added to my favourite MMO, The Elder Scrolls Online (TESO). These costumes are a bit of fun, and have the added bonus of your ability to ‘dye’ them any colour you wish, as long as it is a hue which has been ‘unlocked’ by specific achievements that you accomplish in-game. The more you earn, the more colours that you have to play with! The outfits are perfect for guild events and other role-playing activities, and sometimes it’s just fun to head to the battlefield in your finest gear, or look appropriately noble when you challenge some low-born, scurvy dog to a duel, LOL

Saturday Screen-Shots: In-Game Fashions

The costumes, initially, were only available when you hit certain levels. Others are articles of clothing which you find in containers throughout the lands that you explore. With the addition of the Thieves’ Guild, finding these clothes is a bit more challenging than it used to be – guards don’t take kindly to people rummaging through the desk drawers in the bank! The newly added Crown Store offers many more options than there used to be, with some being limited-time offers! There is also an option to preview anything that you might want to buy, so you aren’t stuck with a costume that doesn’t look the way that you hoped it would. Mounts and pets operate in the same fashion – they are for personal customization, as well as a little harmless vanity.

Not that this post is an official review, but the costume option is one of the many reasons why I love this game. The variety and diversity are pretty much unmatched, compared to other games that I have played in the past. Only Ultima Online (UO) was or is comparable, but the graphics of TESO are phenomenal, making it much more visually appealing than UO – although, to be fair, UO was an excellent MMO when it first came out, and I played it for over 10 years.

With that, on with the show! I used my own descriptions for the outfits below, and have dyed them with some of my favourite hues. Coordination is crucial, after all…

Formal aristocratic gown

Noblewoman’s high-collared ball gown

Noblewoman’s long-sleeved formal gown

Fashion, Beauty, Movies, Music, & More!!!

So I finally managed to order some Fashion Fair products online – I had to go to their website for this, as well as Macy’s, due to the lack of purchasing options, which is disappointing. It also seemed like things vanished from the Macy’s website as fast as I was looking for them! Cripes…when places make it nearly impossible for Black women to support the companies we choose, what else are we supposed to do? The nearest Macy’s that actually carries this line of cosmetics is in California; when I first moved to Seattle in 1991, it was easy to find in Nordstrom’s, The Bon Marche (now Macy’s), and Frederick & Nelson (bankruptcy). We’ll see how long it takes for each respective vendor to ship my items! I’m eager to compare what I used to use faithfully with the product line I use now – we’ll see what the results are, LOL

I like to shop for clothing and cosmetics around this time of year; there are lots of excellent deals and ‘collections’ that make excellent travel-sizes of what I regularly use for skin care – it’s not always readily available when we go cross-country! The holiday editions of catalogues are interesting, to say the least…for instance, Victoria’s Secret goes overboard with a ridiculously overpriced bra which is garnished with precious gemstones and sells for $2.5 million (USD) – this year, they’ve paired the bra with a collector’s item parfum bottle, also encrusted with jewels and is going for roughly $500,000 (USD), IIRC…anyway, I tend to chuckle at that. I guess Huge Heffer needs to buy a proper wedding gift for the little gold-digging whore who will carry his surname for a few months? Cripes…amazing that nobody bats an eye at some fossil who is ‘marrying’ a trashy little cunt who is 60 years his junior, but that’s a typical white-person thing to do, so what the hell, no?     🙄

Speaking of ‘typical white-trash things to do’, the guy who shot and killed two people  (and then himself) at Crack-o-my-ass Town Center apparently had a reason to ‘snap’ so story’s over folks, move along, nothing to see here…fucking mind-boggling, but not surprising – white people always have a reason for the scheiss-y things they do!  *SMDH*

Speaking of ‘snapping’, it looks like another comedian is succumbing to his excessive cocaine use. Katt Williams is self-destructing, and nobody close to him is trying to stop it – pretty shameful. We’re supposed to be looking out for each other, yet all we do is laugh and point when a person who obviously needs help begins a public collapse. C’mon, now…save your laughter for the white buffoons who deserve it! Sheesh…

On the lighter side, Deon Cole made a fantastic observation about the whole affair! Check it out here

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens today! I believe we will go see it next weekend but I’m not expecting a lot. It’s been over-hyped a bit, and the racism surrounding the entire series is annoying, but I still enjoyed the books. I used to have the book shown below – it was a treasured item of mine, one of many my vile slaveowners parents threw away, or gave away, or something…I would kill to own it again. It was much-loved…

Happy Friday, all – next Friday marks the Winter Solstice, so the days can begin to grow long again! It’s cold and damp here, and the only snow is capping the mountains…they are beautiful this time of year! Majestic Mt. Hood; Mt. Saint Helens with her blunted top, and mighty Tahoma to the north – Baker and Adams loom in the distance. Seeing them brings me peace of mind…with that, I’ll leave you with three random songs to ease you all into the weekend…enjoy!

Devo: “Peek-A-Boo!”

Blondie: “Pretty Baby
