Solstice Blessings (Re-blogged)

Solstice blessings from me to you. Blessed be.

Eyrie Of An Aries

’tis the Winter Solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere. The shortest day; the longest night. The cycle of the seasons continues on. Slowly, the days will start lengthening once again.

Blessed Solstice and Joyous Yuletide! I selected these songs and in-game screen-shots for your listening, and viewing, pleasure.

Sunday Solstice Eve…June 2016!!!

’tis Solstice Eve…and a beautiful full moon on the first day of summer! Enjoy a bit of music whilst dancing in the moonlight. Also, my gaming schedule has been extended – if you happen upon my live broadcast, share the link and toast me with a drink! More posts forthcoming on Monday…so, stay tuned!

So, a funny thing happened the other day – my computer died! It was more or less unexpected, since I thought that I could dredge some life out of the failing, 635w power-supply for another month or so…I was wrong, LOL

I was in the middle of editing a post, and the computer cut off with no warning. Just…POOF – lights out, nobody home…complete silence. I immediately turn off the switch on the back of the computer and unplug the power cable, and disconnect it from the router. I call our computer service guys and let them know the problem, and say that it might have finally given up the ghost. I let them know what steps I took when the power failed – they said it was a good thing to do and that I should press the top power key a few times as well. I do so, then re-connect the power cord and turn the switch on the back of the computer to the ‘ON’ position. I hear a loud *POP* and smell that horrible ozone smell that you don’t want emitting from your computer or any other electronic device! The tech on the phone says, “Bring it in to us first thing in the morning.” It looked pretty grim…the way it smelled made me think that it looked like this on the inside:

…but, it wasn’t as bad as I feared – all that was needed was to replace the old, 650w power-supply with a Raidmax® Thunder™ V2, 735w powerhouse! It’s very nice, and whisper-quiet…the fan is like a zephyr.

Needless to say, I have a LOT of reading and catching-up to do with all of you in the blog-o-sphere! On top of that, I’ve had some unexpected billing issues with the site that hosts my guild-site, so my TeamSpeak3 is unavailable. Fortunately, I set my site up so that any of my followers could donate to keep it running, so…I hate to ask, but if five of you out there donated the minimum amount, it should keep the guild-site running long enough for me to straighten out the billing issues. I currently have 194 followers…194!!! How did THAT happen?!? I’m amazed and pleased, and I need to do a few new posts! I wonder if I can reach 200 followers before Sunday? Tell you all what: if I reach 200 followers on my blog by 23:59 PST, and get five donations to my guild-site, I will use my actual picture as my avatar. If I’m lucky, this will have the reverse effect: I’ll get donations to the guild-site and lose followers here, LOL! The site is called Sepultura’s Sanctuary and the link is there in the name…give it a look and see what you think – and, thank you in advance for anything contributed!

Anyway, I’m going to get to work on some weekend posts, then I’ll sit back and do a bit of blog-reading later on this evening…I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to during the past few days!
