Silly Little Muffins

They make me laugh. Aren’t they comical?

I think so.

😀

I Love It

Having a timely reminder handed to you when you most need it is awesome.

Especially when you weren’t looking for it, and didn’t expect it.

Some things happen when they need to. You can’t rush them or demand them.

They just happen, and they’re good.

It doesn’t get any better than that.

The Sad Tale of Foxy-Sox (Re-blogged)

It is now New Year’s Eve eve! In light of that, here is a short tale which bears repeating before the drunken debauchery commences.

Yes, the pun is intended!

😉

Eyrie Of An Aries

Foxy-Sox was the best-looking fox in the forest. From the time she was a kit, her father and mother had raved over her silky fur and beautiful, bushy tail. Because of all this attention, she grew quite vain. Every day, she would wander down to a stream or pond near the family den and stare at her reflection for hours. “I’m such a beautiful fox!” she would think to herself as she combed her fur and fluffed her tail. “Who wouldn’t want to be me?”

One day, Foxy went further from the den than usual, and came across a funny path: it had lots of planks of wood in rows, held down by two big, shiny things. Foxy looked closer, and could see her reflection in one of the shiny things – of course, she became enraptured by her own reflection. A loud noise broke her trance, and she jumped…

Thursday Thoughts: Things That Make Me Go “Hmmmmm…” (Re-blogged)

My creative streak continues! I’ve been writing like a fiend, so more excerpts will be posted soon. In the meantime, enjoy these reblogged “Thursday Thoughts!”

Tuesday Afternoon…

…a little musical interlude, this final day in May, just because! Enjoy…

Monday Musings…25 April 2016

It’s a nice quiet Monday after one hell of a busy weekend! Had to attend a retirement dinner for friends of family on Saturday, which entailed a bit of driving around in cruddy traffic. Portland, Oregon, has some of the worst traffic in the country, and Seattle isn’t much better! Trying to time how bad traffic will be at any given time, weekday or no, is next to impossible. Still, all of the hassle was worth it because I got my noms on hardcore: oysters and sushi at my two favourite places to go on the rare occasions we dine out! I’ll download and post the pics later; damned cell-phone update has my settings buggered, so I need to mess with it a bit!

Billy Paul: 1 December 1934 – 24 April 2016

I wanted to note the passing of a legendary singer, Billy Paul. He is best known for the hit song “Me & Mrs. Jones,” which a good friend of mine, Earl “The Pearl,” covered on a regular basis at a local karaoke hangout in Seattle. Billy Paul sang many other epic songs as well, so if you get a chance, look up a few of his other hits – I don’t think that you’d be disappointed!

Speaking of karaoke, did you know that yesterday marked the beginning of National Karaoke Week? I used to be a karaoke superstar in a way, LOL – one of the few singers that did service to that form of entertainment! Yes, I entered a few local (non-televised) contests, and yes, I won money! I wasn’t enough of a performer to win first place, but I definitely placed high enough on a regular basis that I had my own fan-following, LOL

Speaking of entertainment, I have supposedly gotten the notice of the gamer known as SypherPK – “he” has a comment waiting for publication, but I figured I’d go one better and dedicate a post solely to the comment, and my imaginary response, since it isn’t as if we’re having a standard dialogue! If such a major gaming celebrity took the time to notice my Random Ramblings and Myriad Musings, then tried to correct and “man-splain” The Elder Scrolls Online to me, someone who is actually IN a fucking video-game, I figured that “he” deserves a post acknowledging his privilege and prowess! Stay tuned…you all will get a kick out of it, I’m certain! I’m also working on my long-overdue response to TheHumanFloyd, another gamer who seems to think that he knows ALL about the role-playing community. That respective community is extremely exclusive in the way that the Ku Klux Klan is…so, my verbal shredding of that bigot will be almost as enjoyable as taking down “Sypher!” I’ll be deactivating my Enjin guild-site soon and moving it to Facebook, as well. I’ll have a Facebook account of sorts, very soon…and I’m not quite certain how I feel about having to do so, LOL!

This movie just started on TV, so I’m off to watch it…it’s hilarious, and I could do with some laughter in the midst of my mourning…enjoy the clip!

The Sad Tale of Foxy-Sox

A loud noise broke her trance, and she jumped away just in time to avoid a huge, long black monster that snarled and roared along the shiny path – but it cut off the tip of her tail!

Foxy was sad. Her beauty was marred – her tail was frayed! Her parents, sisters and brother all tried to reassure her that she was still beautiful and that her tail would grow back out, but she was inconsolable. She was determined to get that little bit of tail back, so when everyone else was asleep, she went back to the shiny path. She could see the white fur of her lost tail gleaming in the moonlight – so tantalizingly close! So intent was she on retrieving it, that she didn’t hear the quiet footsteps of a man on patrol. A shotgun blast took her head clean off…

The moral of the story?

“Don’t lose your head over a little piece of tail.”

Saturday Saturnalia…

Baseball will be distracting me this weekend and I’m working on another fan fiction post, as well as a post about a letter I sent to ESO about some of the in-game irritations – you’re going to laugh at the non-answer I received; I know that I did!

Other people who use WordPress probably look at their site statistics from time to time. Ever notice how some people seem to be determined to click obsessively on ancient posts, just to put some picture in your “top clicks?” It seems desperate, in a way…I suppose it’s just another form of trolling. Some trolls just HATE being ignored, don’t they? Too bad! I said it in my ‘About’ page, I mention it in my ‘Comments / Open Thread’ page, and I’ll reiterate it here: THIS. IS. A. TROLL-FREE. ZONE. NO. FUCKING. TROLLS. ALLOWED! I had thought that it would be funny to post some of the troll comments I’ve received in the past, but that would be giving them far too much attention…so I won’t!     😀

Time for some tuneage – enjoy these five songs by Faith No More.
