Full Moon Music

Here are five songs to tickle your eardrums on this full moon Sunday. Fill your ear-holes with songs about holes whilst dancing in the moonlight.

😉

Saturday Spotlight: James Shaw, Jr.

Remember “Connect-the-Dots?” If you saw those brain-teasers as a kid, you would recall that they were pretty simple. The picture in them was essentially already laid out for you; all you had to do was connect the dots to complete it. The simple ones only required you to complete the outline of the picture, but the more complex ones were more obscure. You would have to connect the dots in a convoluted, complex manner to see the whole picture.

That’s how it is in history, politics, and other man-made social norms. One can look at the current political climate here in the States and, by connecting the dots, see the big picture and how our politics are mirroring, and being mirrored by, other political events in other countries.

I recently connected the dots when it came to the bloggers who I thought were fun-loving online acquaintances. They laid out an amazing patchwork of amateur art and remedial poetry. I love the delicious simplicity of it all when I look at the full picture. I should give them due credit in some future posts, yes?

Nah. They already have too big of an audience and all they use it for is to smear shit on themselves and throw shit at others. What a waste of time and effort.

There are plenty of good people doing good things, quietly, without the desperate need of the attention and approval of others. James Shaw, Jr., for example. He is one who is doing good things because he is good people. That’s all there is to it.

5 On Friday: Timely Tunes

One of the best things about music is that you can always find some tunes for the times from any era.

Growing up listening to public radio was one way amongst many that my musical horizons expanded to the infinite.

Talking about music with others is so limiting. I’d rather play what I enjoy. If you like it as well, great.

If you don’t like it, then that’s fine too. IDGAF.

Enjoy these five select songs to get the weekend started off right on this fine Friday.

Full Frontal Thursday: Mike Pompeo, Preet Bharara, & Bannon’s Racist European Tour

In this week’s installment of “Full Frontal Thursday,” Sam has a chuckle over Emmanuel Macron’s visit with Baby-Hands McDrumpf. Then she introduces us to Mike Pompeo, the new face that represents the USA to the rest of the world.

Next, she points out the interesting ways that Steve Bannon is taking his filth to the shithole countries who welcome him and his ideologies with open arms. No shocker there. At least I know which places to skip over when I travel abroad.

Finally, Sam sits down with Preet Bharara to get some real legal information from an actual attorney about any potential troubles the current administration might face in the future.

Too bad YT didn’t post the tail-end clip of her show, where Sam gave kudos to the gentleman who managed to stop the shooting in the Waffle House without firing a shot. Well, we all know what YT really stands for.

Such Ugliness

There it is again: that selfish self-centeredness which is the hallmark of your life.

All the cosmetic procedures in the world can’t hide how ugly you really are.

After all, a beautiful personality always shines through and needs no artificial enhancements.

Your ugliness shows in everything you think, say, and do.

It’s a wonder that anyone can stand your soul-sucking presence for any length of time.

They must be paid well.

Toasty Tuesday

The warm weather which began over the weekend continues! Sunshine and clear skies through to Friday, then the rain returns on Saturday.

Birds of all kinds have been visibly active; the deer have been foraging, and coyotes serenade the waxing moon with high-pitched yips and yaps.

I love the sights and sounds here on the beach much better than the constant drone of city noise and the glare of light pollution.

We live on ‘Beach Time.’ No rush and no fuss.

Less stress is best.

Last Week Tonight: Iran Deal

In today’s edition of “Last Week Tonight,” John Oliver talks about the Iran Deal and how Baby-Hands McDrumpf is most likely going to cram it down the shitter like everything else he gets his tiny hands on, including the presidency.

Happy birthday, John! Keep up the awesome work.

Happy Earth Day

Today marks Earth Day, the one day per year in which many people pretend to care about the home that we all share: our beautiful planet Earth. If you treat every day as if it were Earth Day then you would be moved to action, even if only in the smallest means. Said action isn’t solely posting some tired quote on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or everywhere else the selfish and the self-absorbed congregate.

I always maintain that being part of the solution is much better than being part of the problem. Little things like “reduce, reuse, recycle” are important to incorporate in daily life. Instead of always deciding between “paper or plastic” at the grocery store, why not bring your own, reusable shopping bags?

Bees are rapidly becoming endangered, and that means our food supply is threatened. Why not plant bee-friendly herbs, shrubs, and trees wherever possible? Spend a day at an apiary if you can, and learn as much as possible about those marvelous little critters upon whom so much depends.

When’s the last time you volunteered at a local outdoor cleanup activity which wasn’t driven by politics or making yourself look good amongst your office or personal circle? When did you do something good for our planet, simply because it needs to be done? This planet is our home. It’s the only one we have, for the far foreseeable future, so we are responsible for its health and well-being.

That’s my small, soapbox oration for today. Now that I’ve stepped off of it and put it away, please enjoy the five songs which, to me, always symbolize Earth Day.

Three Songs on a Saturday! (Re-blogged)

Saturday sunshine means nice weather for beach clean-up!

😎

Eyrie Of An Aries

The gaming continues in earnest, as there are a few events going on through the end of the month. These include an epic contest with awesome in-game and real-life prizes, the chance to earn three free crown crates whether you subscribe or not, a free mount for those who have the “full package,” and a free pet for everyone!

Enjoy the music, and be sure to check out my Twitch channel for the live-stream of in-game action. The caveat, as always, is the potential for crashes and other fun malfunctions when there is a higher-than normal in-game population stressing the gaming servers!
