Fixated Fetishists

I’ve been to med school. I started out with biology and then moved into psychology. The reasons why I don’t have a practice are talked about in my autobiography.

Abnormal psychology was an interesting study, especially when it delved into psychosexual fetishes. Running my own dungeon allowed me to study those on an up-close, personal level.

The fixations that some have ranged from tame to ludicrous to outright bizarre. One of the stranger fixations has to do with hair colour. I’ve noticed people being obsessive about that for most of my life.

“Gentlemen prefer blondes.” “Blondes have more fun.” “Brunettes are sexy and smart.” “Beware of the raven-haired.” “Don’t be so bold with yer dark hair and yer proud ways!” Many such sayings attach hair colour to personality.

I’ve dyed my hair in the past, but never a hue that looked unnatural. I would look silly as a blonde, for example, unless it was that platinum-silvery hue unique to Ororo. A well-made and well-styled wig would be sufficient in that regard, if I ever did an X-Men themed cosplay.

My personal preference has always been for dark-haired men. Only dated one blonde guy, and he was a piece of work. I’ve dated more baldies than blondies, if I think about it. Some red-haired guys look great, but only after the age of 21 or so.

That being said, people who obsess over such shallow nonsense are beyond boring. There’s far more to a person than the length or colour of their hair, especially since both can be faked. Anything and everything about one’s appearance can be altered.

The only thing those types of people can’t change is how ugly they really are underneath the dye, Botox, injections and implants. Then again, the people they attract aren’t concerned with real people with real personalities.

A fetish is merely an object, after all.

Creativity & Cosplay

I have a number of awesome ideas for future cosplay percolating. My creative spark has been reignited and I’ve been sketching out some designs. Quality costume-creators are as difficult to find as quality tattoo artists, but the right ones can work magic if they can see your vision clearly.

My fan-fiction is officially completed so I can start posting some new excerpts. Character development and back-stories are some of the more enjoyable parts of writing for me.

Time for a bit of gaming! I need to re-do the schedule of my live broadcasts for maximum viewing. Some in-game guild-mates are helping out with that.

It’s nice to deal with reliable people, for a change.

Good-Bye, 2016: Year-End Round-Up (Re-blogged)

I used to write longer posts. One of those was my year-end roundup of 2016.

😎

Eyrie Of An Aries

Well, this year is drawing to a close. In some parts of the world, it is already 2017. It isn’t quite noon in my neck of the woods, however, so there are still 13 hours left in what has been a year of sorrow. Still, it has had many joyful moments – for me and mine, at least!
I’m thankful to have not suffered any personal losses; for the health problems some of my family members have, they are still here – and I’m very happy and grateful for that. So, I’m starting off with the celebrity deaths that impacted me the most, which is my disclaimer for not mentioning every single one who passed – it’s quite a long list as it is, and I dedicated entire blog-posts to the most notable ones.

Natalie Cole: technically, she passed away on 31 December 2015, but her death wasn’t announced…
