Sunday Screen-Shots: 22 January 2017

I selected some screen-shots of a few of the pets that I “own” in-game. Every warrior needs a good companion, especially we solitary roamers! A friendly ear is always good to have around.

Desert Hound

Floating Baby Jelly

Winged Orange Flame-Toad

Black n’ White Piggy

Great screenshots! As another solo roamer, I love my pets too. Btw I’m sorry but I’ve forgotten which game you’re playing?

If you can’t remember, then it isn’t important to you. It is listed in the tag cloud on my blog, as well as in the “tagged” portion of the post that is under the header. Look there to refresh your memory.

It amazes me how little people read, and how small the capacity for retaining information is. Fascinating.

lol – I read your blog via Reader, not the tags. :p

Exactly. Reading a blog via Reader leaves out quite a bit, much in the same way that a movie version of a great book leaves out most of the important things, or the little things that tie the story together. Still, reading a blog via Reader doesn’t show the whole post; you have to ‘visit’ the page to see the full post, no?

I recommend bookmarking it and reading it in the full view, not just Reader – that is how I read the blogs that I follow. I didn’t know that there was a way to read a blog solely by its tags, since I see how people tag their posts by reading them in their full view.

You might get much more information, that way…just a thought!

Ugh…I really didn’t make myself clear. I did visit your website, but I found it and the article /via/ the Reader, not via a search engine. As a result, I did not look at any tags. And just for the record, I don’t comment on blog posts I haven’t read.

Got it – thanks for clearing it up.

You didn’t understand the point I was making about the ‘tags’ used in posts. You basically said that you look at the post in Reader, without using the ‘visit page’ option which is on the post in Reader. If you did, you would see the entire page, and you would see that the tags for the post are under the header – WHEN YOU VIEW THE ENTIRE PAGE, NOT JUST VIA READER.

“And just for the record, I don’t comment on blog posts I haven’t read.”

I never said that you did, and that isn’t the point I was making. I don’t comment or ‘like’ posts that I haven’t read, either…so?

Okay…just went to your site again and saw the headline to do with Grizzlies, and yes, now that I was looking for it, I did see your tags. But…my eye still skipped over them because, I guess, they conveyed no meaning that I was interested in. I jumped straight down to the first sentence and then had to make myself go back up.

No idea if this is simply the way I read, or something more general, but at least it explains why I didn’t know which game you play. Come to think of it, I still don’t know, but at least the mystery is solved.

You still don’t know what game I play, even though I have told you twice before, because you asked twice before? Okay…

It is called The Elder Scrolls Online. I have done many posts on it. It is not Final Fantasy XV or any of the other games that seem to be popular, which is why I enjoy it immensely. I’m not limited in what I can do in-game, and the graphics are among the best, IMHO.

This trailer is the better one – shows the actual gameplay and in-game graphics, essentially.

You’re right, the graphics are good. Might check it out some more.

Let me know if you do! I might add that the soundtrack is also exceptional – the music in the trailers is very similar to the music and sounds in-game. It is an immersive experience, IMHO

I’m not playing this but I am playing through Skyrim at the moment. It took a long time for me to warm to its charms but I’m glad I did. 60 hrs in and I still feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface! I love your screenshots.

*rubs hands together like an evil fly*

Excellent – you’re playing Skyrim! It has its charms, for sure.

I hope that it inspires you to take a peek at The Elder Scrolls Online, one of these days…if you’d like, I could send you a link to download the game the next time they offer a free-play week / weekend! Let me know either way so that I’m not a bad influence…bwwaahahahahahahaaaahhh!

Oh, how I would love to take you up on the offer. Alas, my PC is an aging beast. (Well, it’s more like a dying mouse.) It’s why I spent hard earned money on a 2nd hand PS3. I was desperate to see what all the fuss was about! It took me a while but I eventually fell to its charms! πŸ˜›

LOL – I know what it’s like to keep an aging beast alive! So sad when a PC is on its last legs, no?

Well, at least you see what all the fuss is about Skyrim – I don’t think that it’s terribly over-rated, like Overwatch or FF XV!

I’ve not played either of those games so I couldn’t know, but I am absolutely playing the arse off of Skyrim. I think this is one rare case where the hype is justified. I still feel I’ve barely scratched the surface of it to be honest with you. πŸ˜›

Good to know! Wait until you uncover the first ‘Easter egg’ – those are always priceless, LOL

I played Skyrim so much when it first came out, that I was having dreams about the game…that’s when you know that it’s time to take a break!
