My (4th? 5th? eh, I don’t keep count) Liebster Award!!!

I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award by the fine lady, and fellow Steampunk aficionado who writes the blog Schickes und Schönes – if I had to guess her name, I’d just have to toss out “Bianca,” simply due to the explanation she gave when accepting her nomination: “We were quite amused by a little confusion. Bianca from Feine Arbeiten was nominated by Bianca from KREA[tiv*kul]TUR. Now it’s your turn to guess my name.”

So, if I’m right, it’s a lucky guess – if not, oh well! I have nothing else to go on, and most people don’t tell me what their names are. I rarely ask, since many use a pseudonym of sorts; otherwise, people have their names listed in their blog titles or somewhere on their ‘About’ page, so some names are easier to find than others!

Now, on to the rules…the inevitable, ever-changing rules!

The Rules:
1. Thank the person who nominated you.
2. List the rules.
3. Answer 11 questions.
4. Compose another 11 questions.
5. Nominate new blogs for the Liebster Award.
6. Drop a note to the nominees.

Questions asked, and my answers:

1. Are there things that keep you busy and you’re interested in but that you don’t blog about?

2. Be honest: Do you read long posts from beginning to end? Or do you quickly skim through the post, scroll to the end and hit the like button?

I do my best to be honest, unless I’m asked a rhetorical or loaded question. From my experience, many people don’t seem to like honesty as much as they claim to – or, at least, they don’t like my type of straightforward honesty! At any rate, it depends on the blog and the topic. If it isn’t a topic I care about, I will either skim it, or not read it at all – otherwise, I’ll read the whole thing. Also, I don’t hit the ‘Like’ button on topics or posts that I don’t care about…as far as I know, I thought that’s how most people read the blogs of others, unless they’re being selective and/or dishonest about what they do and don’t like!

3. Do you prefer to read the book or watch the film?

The book. Films tend to leave out the necessities and throw in lots of unrelated, unnecessary garbage, IMHO.

4. Taking decisions, do you go by gut feeling or by reason?

It depends on the situation.

5. Do you still send hand-written letters or cards or do you send e-mails and What’sApp?

Hand-written for close friends and family, emails or texts for everyone. I don’t know what What’sApp is, LOL

6. If you could go on a time-travel for a day to where and when would you like to go to?

Tough choice! There are many places in the past that I’d love to see, so I’ll go with anytime and anywhere during the age of the dinosaurs.

7. Do you know any poems by heart?

8. Which conspiracy theory do you like best or think is weirdest?

I don’t like any conspiracy theories, personally! All of them are weird, but I’d have to say that the theory that a person is better or worse than another person, solely for their skin colour, is the weirdest one of all – and the most prevalent one.

9. Imagine there’s suddenly no power for 3 months. Would you be prepared?

10. Prosecco or beer?

Ale / beer, but only German / European beer. What most Americans call ‘beer,’ I call ‘pisswater!’ ROFL – Prosecco / sparkling wine / champagne doesn’t have the flavor or alcohol content that I enjoy.

11. Are you a night-owl or are you up with the lark?

Up with the lark in winter, but a night-owl in the summer! My sleep patterns definitely vary by the season.

In closing, here are three excellent songs for my, and hopefully your, listening pleasure…enjoy!
