Thundery Thursday!

Ah, what an awesome, excellent day! Any day that I wake up to a thunderstorm – yes, we had yet another one – is an excellent day, in my opinion. Fitting that it would happen on Thursday, which is also Thor’s Day to many, and Donnerstag in parts of Europe. No, I don’t need correction with geography; I know which countries are ‘Germanic’ or ‘Teutonic,’ and don’t feel like listing them all! ‘Donner’ means ‘thunder’ in those countries, so…there you have it, LOL

I’m glad that the final debate is over – I want the election to be, as well. So tired of going anywhere online, even in gaming-world, and seeing the same tired, trite, boring, racist, conspiracy-theory-filled nonsense over and over again. So done with it all. Even relevant news gets shoved to the side for the 24 / 7 political sideshow…I’m just done, and have been done since before this month started, LOL! I’m very glad that I get to vote via mail; my ballot should be arriving any day, now. No later than the 25th, according to the Voter’s Pamphlet received two weeks ago!

I’m going to do some recording tests throughout the day and the weekend, both with gaming and with YouTube, so I’ll be a bit busy and somewhat lax with posting…but, I’ll still be around, so don’t expect that I’ll be silent…

With that, I think that a bit of music is in order…so, enjoy these selections! Talk with you all later.

God have you got that rite
That David bowie song is dead to rite
It happen to me a few weeks ago
This person went off on me for no reason
    It got ugly
I had to hold my ground
    The sad thing is
Is its only going to get worst
    Violence is not my thing
But this person really was pushing me
    And my buttons

That’s not good – people going around and going off on others…I think you said that the person put hands on you, or moved to do so, so you had to defend yourself.
I don’t like violence, either – but I get violent with others if they push me too far.
It truly will get worse, sad to say…the political atmosphere is toxic.

Thank you – at this stage, it appears that a lot of luck is what we need!
We certainly don’t need a fiasco that rivals Brexit, for sure…although, the world is, by and large, unaffected by the Brexit vote.
That won’t be so, depending on who gets elected and placed in the White House.

Thunderstorms. Brings back how my Mom thought Thunderstorms should be handled. When it was thundering and lightening my Mom had us sit quietly in our bedrooms in the dark. She would turn off the TV, Radio, and Lights. Close the blinds and/or curtains. I remember her saying that Thunder and Lightening was either God working or the devil beating his wife!! Take your pick! I know this sounds corny and strange but Black people born in the 1920s/1930s were superstitious! Except my Dad. When he got home the lights and TV went back on! Who knows? Maybe God was working on stopping the devil from beating his wife? Who knew that the devil was married in the first place?!! My cat Sylvester hates Thunderstorms.

As for the political debates I never watch them. In my opinion both candidates are jackasses just that Dump is the bigger one.

I’ve loved thunderstorms ever since I was a kid…but then, I was always more independent than my siblings, so things that scared them never bothered me – and those are my older brothers, ROFL

I am definitely a ceraunophile. I grew up in Illinois and in the summer time my brother and I slept on a porch with canvas shades. We’d watch the lightning strikes through the shades and count until it thundered to determine the distance of the storm. Loved it!

That’s what I do – I watch the flash, then count to see how close or far away the storm is! That’s one of the best things…it’s perfect!
