I love storms…these photographs capture them in a fantastic light!

Photographer Mitch Dobrowner travels the U.S. and sets up his camera in front of apocalyptic storms that rise above rural fields in Oklahoma, Kansas, and North Dakota.

You don’t want to see one of those drop out of the sky! I have seen a few small ones drop.

I’ve seen the various cloud formations related to tornadoes and water-spouts…never experienced an outright tornado yet, though! If I had the finances, I might be one of those crazy storm-chasers…minus the TV show! Storms have always fascinated me.

Like yourself, I’ve never seen an actual tornado. Not sure that I want to. Pictures will do! But you know, when I was around fourteen or so, I became addicted to storms. I’d sit just inside the shelter of our doorless garage in Tennessee and watch storms come up out of the Southwest. Oh they were awesome, lightning, thunder, wind, the whole shebang! I’d finally go inside. It would take an hour or so for me to calm down. And even now…years later, I still enjoy a good storm. Clears the air! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thanks for sharing.

I got hooked on storms when I lived in South Dakota for a year – but, I’ve also seen some good ones in Seattle and in Alaska! They have always fascinated me…and yes, they clear the air well!
