RIO DE JANEIRO – Sweep!  Team USA became the first nation in Olympic history to win all three medals in the women’s 100-meter hurdles.

Brianna Rollins won the gold, Nia Ali the silver and Kristi Castlin, with a furious finish, took the bronze Wednesday night.  “It’s like a sisterhood,” said Rollins, who trains with Castlin and has also known Ali for years.  “I’m so grateful and blessed that we were able to accomplish this together.”

And Team USA swept without world-record holder Keni Harrison, who did not make the U.S. team from a loaded field at…

I watched the race, I was a little worried about Castlin. I wasn’t sure she was third in real time. The U.S. is loaded at this event.

I haven’t watched the Olympics since I left home…the “parental units” watched the Summer and Winter Games all. Of. The. Time. I guess that this was the year to watch! Usain Bolt, too…he’s damned phenomenal.

Were it not for growing up in a small town that had no track & field, I could’ve been an Olympian, myself…and you can take that to the bank.
I wonder what the age limit for fencing or archery is? That would be something to try…

I’m more of a Summer Games than Winter Games watcher. Far as I know, there isn’t an age limit for those sports.

(in announcer voice) now you too, can fulfill your Olympic dream! LOL!

Mock me if you will, but yes – I can attain most of my dreams, LOL! I’ve done many things that I set out to do in life, especially the ones where I was told “you can’t do that!”

As far as Summer vs. Winter Games watcher, well, that’s freaking obvious! Most men prefer the Summer Games, for obvious reasons…sheesh, I’m not an idiot.

Your Orioles are top in the AL Wild-Card race – you should be happy!

Hahaha! My Orioles are threatening to do the annual (well almost damn-near annual) summer swoon. We shall see if they can hang on to a wild-card spot through the final portion of the season.

Mock? Me? Nah, just having some fun. And as far as preferring the Summer Games, maybe it has something to do with the fact that there are more sports that I actually recognize…if it’s for the “eye candy” well…eye candy can be found anywhere. But yes, the Summer Games do make it a bit more obvious, but it’s not just for the men either in that department.

I never presume anyone is an idiot. I let them determine it for me 😉
